Celebrated filmmaker Nancy Kelly directs independent and educational films as well as corporate marketing videos. Her work has screened and broadcast worldwide, and won numerous awards. Her clients include: Apple, Cisco, Oracle, Microsoft, Clorox, and Kaiser Permanente. She’s especially good with people, whether real people or actors.
Her most recent independent documentary, the acclaimed Rebels with a Cause is a humorous, inspirational celebration of wild places told through the characters that saved them. Narrated by Oscar-winning actress Frances McDormand, Rebels screened in many film festivals, followed by a theatrical release and a PBS broadcast.
Her dramatic feature Thousand Pieces of Gold stars Rosalind Chao and Oscar-winning actor Chris Cooper. Gold received a number of film festival awards nationally and internationally. Its subsequent theatrical release and broadcast on PBS received excellent reviews.
Nancy graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Public Health Education from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst. She participated in the Sundance Institute Screenwriting Lab. She studied at the Jean Shelton Acting School and the Judith Weston Acting and Directing Studio.
